Primary outcomes
If mesenteric traction syndrome (MTS) occurs, a decline of the systemic vascular resistance (SVR) will be observed. If MTS can be prevented, SVR will be maintained.

In flurbiprofen administration group, 50mg of flurbiprofen is injected intravenously after the induction of anesthesia.

In control group, patients receive no injections at those times.

Key inclusion criteria
adult patients (American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status [ASA-PS] 1-2 ) scheduled for elective open abdominal surgery
Key exclusion criteria
Patient who is taking any steroidal or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that might influence COX activities.
