当施設におけるビデオ喉頭鏡の普及前後で、先端巨大症患者の気管挿管難易度および覚醒下挿管選択率がどのように変化したかを明らかにする

To determine how the difficulty of endotracheal intubation and the rate of awake intubation selection among patients with acromegaly changed before and after the widespread adoption of video laryngoscopes at our facility.

先端巨大症で術前評価を行う睡眠時無呼吸症候群の重症度や頭頚部レントゲンでの所見が実際の挿管難易度と関連しているかを明らかにし、先端巨大症の特異的な気道確保困難因子を探索する。

To determine whether the severity of sleep apnea syndrome assessed during preoperative evaluation for acromegaly and findings on head and neck X-rays are associated with the actual difficulty of intubation, and to identify factors specific to acromegaly that contribute to airway management difficulties.

All adult patients with acromegaly who underwent pituitary tumor resection under general anesthesia at Chiba University Hospital between January 1, 1996, and December 31, 2025
