日本語
ベーチェット病（Behcet's disease: BD）は、眼、神経、血管、腸管などの重症臓器病変を伴い、不可逆的な臓器障害を来し得る炎症性疾患である。血中ンターロイキン6（interleukin-6: IL-6）はBDの疾患活動性や重症臓器病変との関連が報告されている。一方、大型血管炎においてもIL-6は病態に重要な役割を担うことが知られている。
本研究では、BDならびに大型血管炎である高安動脈炎および巨細胞性動脈炎における血中IL-6濃度について、各疾患と健常対照者を比較した研究を対象にシステマティックレビューおよびメタアナリシスを行い、各疾患における血中IL-6濃度の上昇を定量的に評価することを目的とする。

Behcet's disease (BD) is an inflammatory disease that can involve severe organ manifestations affecting the eyes, nervous system, blood vessels, and gastrointestinal tract, potentially leading to irreversible organ damage. Circulating interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels have been reported to be associated with disease activity and severe organ involvement in BD. IL-6 is also known to play an important role in the pathogenesis of large vessel vasculitis.
This study aims to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies comparing circulating IL-6 levels between patients with BD, Takayasu arteritis, or giant cell arteritis and healthy controls, and to quantitatively evaluate the elevation of circulating IL-6 levels in each disease.

A literature search was conducted on July 16, 2026, using PubMed, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science Core Collection. Two reviewers will independently screen all titles, abstracts, and full-text articles for eligibility. Disagreements regarding study inclusion will be resolved through discussion between the reviewers.
Participants: Patients with Behcet's disease, Takayasu arteritis, or giant cell arteritis
