目的/Objectives

目的1/Narrative objectives1

日本語
オリゴ糖の4週間継続摂取が腸内環境に及ぼす効果について、プラセボ対照ランダム化二重盲検クロスオーバー試験にて検討する。
また、スクリーニング検査で収集した全被験者のデータを用いて、特定の腸内細菌の菌数と被験者の属性の関連性について探索的な解析を行う。

To investigate the effects of 4-week continuous ingestion of oligosaccharides on the intestinal environment in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study.
In addition, exploratory analyses will evaluate the association between specific gut bacterial counts at screening and subject attributes.

被験食品を1日1包（2 g）、4週間継続摂取後、4週間ウォッシュアウト期間を経て、プラセボ食品を4週間継続摂取する。

1. 本研究の意義、内容、目的を十分に理解し、本研究の参加について文書にて同意を得られた者
2. スクリーニング検査時の糞便中の特定の腸内細菌の占有率が相対的に低い者

1. Those who agree to participate in this study with a written informed consent.
2. Subjects with a relatively low proportion of specific gut bacteria relative to total bacterial count in feces at screening.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
1. 肥満症、糖尿病、脂質異常症により医師による治療、投薬、生活指導を受けている者
2. 過敏性腸症候群、炎症性腸症候群等の消化器障害を有する者
3. 体内植込み型金属製医療機器を使用している者　
4. 重篤な脳血管疾患、心疾患、肝疾患、腎疾患、消化器疾患、呼吸器疾患、内分泌疾患、届出が必要な感染症などに罹患している者
5. 胃切除、胃腸縫合術、腸管切除など消化器系に大きな手術歴のある者
6. 血圧測定、身体計測、血液検査で著しい異常が認められる者
7. 高度の貧血のある者
8. 閉経前後の女性で体調の著しい変化がみられる者、又は更年期障害により医師による診断、治療、投薬、生活指導を受けている者
9. 薬物又は食品に対しアレルギー症状を示すおそれのある者
10. 腸内環境に影響する医薬品、サプリメントを含む健康食品を常用している者
11. オリゴ糖の摂取により消化器・腹部症状が発生すると自覚する者
12. スクリーニング検査時点で、試験期間中にライフスタイルが大きく変化することが想定されている者
13. 過度の喫煙者、アルコールの常用者又は生活習慣が極度に不規則な者
14. 摂取開始前16週間以内に400 mL献血を行った女性、摂取開始前12週間以内に400 mL献血を行った男性、摂取開始前4週間以内に200 mL献血又は2週間以内に成分献血を行った者
15. 妊娠中もしくは妊娠している可能性のある女性、授乳中の女性
16. スクリーニング検査4週間前から摂取終了までの間に、他の臨床試験、観察研究、治験、ホームユーステストに参加の者
17. その他、試験責任医師が不適当であると判断した者

1. Subjects who are under physician's advice, treatment, and/or medication for obesity, diabetes, and/or dyslipidemia.
2. Subjects with gastrointestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.
3. Subjects with implantable medical devices.
4. Subjects with serious cerebrovascular, cardiac, hepatic, renal, gastrointestinal diseases, respiratory, endocrine diseases and/or affected with infectious diseases requiring reports to the authorities.
5. Subjects with major surgical history relevant to the digestive system such as gastrectomy, gastrorrhaphy, enterectomy, etc.
6. Subjects with unusually high and/or low blood pressure and/or abnormal hematological data.
7. Subjects with severe anemia.
8. Pre- or post-menopausal women complaining of obvious physical changes.
9. Subjects who are at risk of having allergic reactions to drugs or foods.
10. Subjects who regularly take medicine, functional foods, and/or supplements which would affect intestinal environment.
11. Subjects with oligosaccharide intolerance.
12. Subjects whose lifestyle is planned to change during the study.
13. Heavy smokers, alcohol addicts or subjects with disordered lifestyle.
14. Subjects who donated either 400 ml whole blood within 16 wks (women), 12 wks(men), 200 ml whole blood within 4 wks (men and women), or blood components within 2 wks (men and women), prior to the screening.
15. Pregnant or lactating women or those planning to become pregnant.
16. Subjects who currently participate in other clinical trials, or participated within the last 4 weeks prior to the current study.
17. Any other medical and/or health reasons unfavorable to participation in the current study, as judged by the principal investigator.
