本研究の目的は、根面う蝕発生初期の正確な診断および根面う蝕の経時的評価を可能にするため、光学的診断装置により得られる根面表層の脱灰および画像を用いて、根面う蝕の検出、活動性・停止性を含む進行度評価の有用性を検討し、客観的な経時的モニタリング手法を確立することである。

The purpose of this study is to establish an objective method for longitudinal monitoring of root caries by evaluating the usefulness of demineralization values and images obtained with an optical diagnostic device for detecting root caries and assessing lesion activity, arrest, and progression.

本研究への参加について同意が得られた者。
根面う蝕が疑われる、または根面う蝕病変を有する歯を有する者。
光学的診断装置による測定および追跡評価の実施が可能な者。
研究期間中に定期的な来院が可能な者。

Individuals who provide written informed consent for participation in this study.
Individuals who have teeth suspected of having root caries or teeth with root caries lesions.
Individuals who can undergo measurements using the optical diagnostic device and follow-up assessments.
Individuals who are able to attend scheduled visits during the study period.

単施設前向き観察研究。根面う蝕が疑われるまたは根面う蝕病変を有する対象者に対し、光学的診断装置による脱灰数値測定および画像撮影を行い、ベースラインおよび追跡時点で根面う蝕の検出、活動性・停止性、および経時的変化を観察する。

A single-center prospective observational study. Demineralization values and images will be obtained using an optical diagnostic device in participants with suspected root caries or root caries lesions, and root caries detection, lesion activity or arrest, and longitudinal changes will be observed at baseline and follow-up visits.
