失明者の参加者における電気タクタイルモールス符号衝突回避課題におけるタスク成功度の評価、視力喪失時の年齢が偶然失明者の成功予測の有無を明らかにし、成功・失敗した課題の達成に関連するEEG接続パターンを特定すること。

被験者の頭部を左右に振らせ、顔正面カメラ画像上に人の接近をコンピュータが認識した際にモールス信号符号を皮膚に通電する。通電を知覚し対象のモールス信号と認識したら頭部の動きを止め、正面に向かって指をさすことを指示し、動作をおこなわせる。

Participants performed continuous lateral head rotation. When the onboard computer vision system detected an approaching person within the frontal camera field of view, the corresponding Morse code signal was delivered electrotactically to the skin surface. Participants were instructed to cease head rotation and point their index finger toward the midline upon perceiving and identifying the delivered Morse code character.
