NEWS2をリカバリー室での患者評価に用いることで、状態の変化により早急に対応ができるのか評価した。
そのために全身麻酔後にPACUへ入室した患者を対象として、PACU退室時のNEWS2スコアと予定外ICU入室との関連を調べた。あわせて、PACU退室時NEWS2スコアの予定外ICU入室予測指標としての有用性を検討する。

We evaluated whether the use of NEWS2 for patient assessment in the recovery room enables a prompt response to changes in a patient's condition.
To this end, we investigated the association between the NEWS2 score at the time of discharge from the PACU and unplanned admission to the ICU, using patients admitted to the PACU following general anaesthesia as our study population. We also examined the usefulness of the NEWS2 score at the time of PACU discharge as a predictor of unplanned ICU admission.

当院において18歳以上で、全身麻酔下で手術を受け、術後にPACUへ入室した患者を対象とする。

Patients aged 18 years or older who underwent surgery under general anesthesia at our institution and were admitted to the PACU postoperatively will be included.
除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

主要評価項目または主要説明変数に必要なデータが欠損している症例
帝王切開症例
気管切開症例
その他、研究責任者が本研究の対象として不適切と判断した症例

2021 年7 月1 日～2025年12 月31 日までの間に、柏病院手術室で全身麻酔後に術後回復室で測定されたNEWS2について、回復室退室時NEWS2の点数の分布と、回復室を退室し病棟帰室した後急変があるかを調べる。

This study examines the distribution of NEWS2 scores at the time of discharge from the post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) and whether patients experienced a sudden deterioration in their condition after returning to the ward, based on NEWS2 scores measured in the PACU following general anaesthesia in the operating theatres at Kashiwa Hospital between 1 July 2021 and 31 December 2025.
