目的/Objectives

日本語
食道癌手術は極めて侵襲性が高く、安全な手術の遂行には適切な周術期管理が不可欠である。本研究は、食道癌手術患者における術前サルコペニアおよびサルコペニア肥満の有無と周術期アウトカムとの関連を後ろ向きに検討し、周術期管理における適切なリスクアセスメント指標としての有用性を明らかにすることを目的とする。

Esophagectomy for esophageal cancer is a highly invasive procedure, and appropriate perioperative management is essential to ensure surgical safety. The aim of this retrospective observational study is to investigate the association between preoperative sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity and perioperative outcomes in patients undergoing surgery for esophageal cancer, and to evaluate their utility as risk assessment indicators in perioperative management.

当科での2008年1月～2019年12月までに食道癌手術を受けた患者450例

We included 450 consecutive patients who underwent esophagectomy for esophageal cancer at our department between January 2008 and December 2019.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

予後情報が確定しなかった症例。
オプトアウトで同意が得られなかった症例。

Patients with unavailable or incomplete follow-up data for survival outcomes.

Patients who declined participation through the opt-out consent process.
