本研究の目的は、脳内炎症が病態仮説の1つであるアルツハイマー型認知症の発症促進に関連する口腔内細菌を明らかにすることである。

選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

日本語
(1)患者群 ①米国精神医学会による精神疾患・統計マニュアル第５版(DSM-5)により軽度認知障害と診断され、②複数の認知機能を評価する、MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment)-Jで25点以下かつMMSE-J (Mini Mental State Examination)で，20点以上である。
(2)コントロール群：当院歯科口腔外科外来通院中で、認知機能が正常（MoCA 26点以上、MMSE-J28点以　上）である。

(1) Patient group: 1) Diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) by the American Psychiatric Association, and 2) scored 25 or below on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)-J, which evaluates multiple cognitive functions, and 20 or above on the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE)-J.
(2) Control group: Outpatients of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at our hospital with normal cognitive function (MoCA score 26 points or more, MMSE-J score 28 points or more).

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

1)頭部外傷や脳腫瘍，神経変性疾患の既往がある。
2)患者群については、外来主治医から既に抗認知症薬や口腔内細菌に影響を与えるステロイドや抗生剤の投薬を行われている。

1) History of head trauma, brain tumors, or neurodegenerative diseases.
2) For the patient group, outpatient primary care physicians have already prescribed anti-dementia drugs, steroids, or antibiotics that affect oral bacteria.

患者群は観察期間中（研究参加時、参加後１年時、参加後2年時）に認知機能検査、精神医学的診断および口腔内細菌採取を行う。
コントロール群は、研究参加時のみ認知機能検査、精神医学的診断および口腔内細菌採取を行う。
抽出した口腔内細菌からDNAを抽出し、網羅的口腔細菌叢解析を行う。

The patient group will undergo cognitive function testing, psychiatric assessment, and oral bacterial sampling during the observation period (at study enrolment, one year post-enrolment, and two years post-enrolment).
The control group will undergo cognitive function testing, psychiatric assessment, and oral bacterial sampling only at study enrolment.
DNA will be extracted from the sampled oral bacteria for comprehensive oral microbiota analysis.
