シーズン中に記録された受傷者数(名)、スポーツ外傷・障害の部位および種類(傷病名)別の発生件数(件)を集計し、重症度(日)、Athlete-hour(以下, AH)、Incidence(件/1, 000AH)、Injury burden(日・件/1, 000AH)を算出した

The number of injured individuals recorded during the season, the number of occurrences by location and type of sports injury or impairment (injury name), were tallied. The severity (days), Athlete-hour (hereafter, AH), Incidence (cases/1,000 AH), and Injury burden (days/cases/1,000 AH) were calculated.

副次アウトカム評価項目/Key secondary outcomes

痛みのVisual Analogue Scale(以下、VAS)は0 を痛みなし、100 を想像しうる最大の痛みとして0-100mm で評価をし、春シーズン(2 月-6月)のみ記録した。また、鍼治療に関しては競技離脱を伴わないNon time loss injuryと競技離脱を伴うTime loss injury の双方を対象としており、疫学データは競技離脱を伴ったもの(Time loss injury)のみを記録している

The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for pain was assessed on a scale of 0 to 100 mm, with 0 representing no pain and 100 representing the worst pain imaginable, and was recorded only during the spring season (February to June). Furthermore, acupuncture treatment was administered for both non-time-loss injuries (where no time was lost from competition) and time-loss injuries (where time was lost from competition). However, the epidemiological data only records cases involving time-loss injuries.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

疫学調査は、活動中に生じたTime loss injuryとし、鍼治療はトレーナー、ドクターが評価し鍼治療が適応と判断されなかったスポーツ外傷・障害を除外基準とした。

The epidemiological survey defined injuries as time-loss injuries occurring during activity. Acupuncture treatment was excluded for sports injuries and disorders deemed unsuitable for acupuncture by assessment of trainers and doctors.

本研究は、2016年に行われた社会人アメリカンフットボールチーム活動記録やスポーツ外傷・障害の記録から後ろ向きに疫学データを算出した。また、鍼治療は当時の記録から春シーズンのVASのデータを集計した。

This study retrospectively calculated epidemiological data from activity records and sports injury/impairment records of a corporate American football team in 2016. Furthermore, acupuncture treatment data was compiled from the spring season VAS records available at the time.
