我々は、糖尿病の経過をシミュレーションし、日々の意思決定と健康状態の変化を体験できるボードゲームを新たに開発する。本研究では、糖尿病のない医学部生を対象とし、本ゲームを通じて糖尿病に関する知識が深まるか、またスティグマに対する態度がどのように変化するかを調査する。

We developed a novel board game that simulates the course of diabetes and allows players to experience day-to-day decision-making and resulting changes in health status. In this study, we enrolled medical students without diabetes and examined whether participating in the game improves diabetes-related knowledge and how it influences attitudes toward stigma.

本ゲームは、糖尿病の生涯経過を模擬的に体験する経過シミュレーション型ボードゲームである。プレイヤーは50歳から100歳までの50年間を生き抜くことを目指し、生活習慣や治療介入の選択により血糖コントロール（HbA1c）、合併症進行、ADL（活動能力）の変化を辿る。ゲームマスター（GM）は医師役として介入し、糖尿病のある人と医療者の双方向的な関係と、その重要性を学習できる。

This game is a progression-simulation board game designed to provide a simulated experience of the lifelong course of diabetes. Players aim to live for 50 years, from age 50 to 100, during which they make choices regarding lifestyle and therapeutic interventions. These decisions influence glycemic control (HbA1c), the development and progression of complications, and changes in activities of daily living (ADL). A game master (GM), acting as the physician, provides interventions throughout the session, enabling participants to learn about the bidirectional patient-healthcare professional relationship in diabetes care and its importance.
