日本語
わが国では、ギャンブル等依存症対策基本法（平成30年法律第74号）第23条に基づく実態調査として、ギャンブル等依存が疑われる者（ギャンブル障害が疑われる者）の実態およびギャンブル等依存症（ギャンブル）に関連する問題の実態を明らかにすることを目的に、令和2年度（2020年）および令和5年度（2023年）の2回にわたり、全国の一般成人を対象とした調査が実施された。
本研究では、これら2時点の調査で得られたデータを用いて追加解析を行い、日本におけるギャンブル障害の有病率、一般成人におけるギャンブル種の選好傾向、およびギャンブルによる害の実態を明らかにすることを目的とする。

In Japan, based on Article 23 of the Basic Act on Measures Against Gambling Addiction (Act No. 74 of 2018), nationwide surveys were conducted in fiscal years 2020 and 2023 to clarify the actual conditions of individuals suspected of having gambling disorder and the problems related to gambling.
This study aims to conduct additional analyses using data obtained from these two surveys to elucidate the prevalence of gambling disorder, gambling preferences among the general adult population, and the actual conditions of gambling-related harms in Japan.

2020年および2023年の2回の全国横断調査結果を同様の手法で分析し、その結果を比較・検討することにより、2030年に予定されているカジノ開業前の日本におけるベースライン資料を得ることを目的とする。
本研究は、ギャンブル障害の予防およびギャンブルに関連する害の低減に関する政策立案に資する科学的根拠を提供することを目的とする。

To analyze and examine the results of the two nationwide cross-sectional surveys conducted in 2020 and 2023 using the same methodology, in order to obtain baseline data for Japan prior to the opening of casino resorts scheduled for 2030.
This study also aims to provide scientific evidence that will contribute to the development of policies for the prevention of gambling disorder and the reduction of gambling-related harms.

B）ギャンブルによる害：
1.財政的ハーム（ギャンブルのための借金の有無、自己破産の有無など）
2.関係的ハーム（家庭不和、配偶者との関係悪化、離婚経験など）
3.健康的ハーム（心理的ディストレス：Kesseler 6得点、自殺念慮の有無）
4.雇用・教育（仕事への影響、失業状態の有無）
5.法的（犯罪・トラブル）→該当なし。
6.ギャンブルの害への保護的因子：ギャンブル障害およびギャンブル関連問題に関する相談行動の有無

A) Gambling preferences among the general adult population:
Types of gambling experienced during the past 12 months (e.g., pachinko/pachislot, horse racing, bicycle racing, motorboat racing, auto racing, lotteries, sports lotteries such as toto, and overseas casino gambling).

B) Gambling-related harms:

Financial harms: presence of debt due to gambling, experience of bankruptcy.

Relationship harms: family conflict, deterioration of marital relationships, experience of divorce.

Health-related harms: psychological distress (Kessler-6 score), presence of suicidal ideation.

Employment/Education-related harms: impact on work, presence of unemployment.

Legal harms: criminal problems or legal troubles (none reported).

Protective factors against gambling-related harms: presence or absence of consultation/help-seeking behavior related to gambling disorder or gambling-related problems.
