心停止傷病者の救命にとって早期の自動体外式除細動器（AED）の使用が極めて重要である。AEDを装着する際には貼付部位の脱衣を行う必要があるが，救命講習では着衣のないマネキンを用いることが多い。実際の傷病者は着衣があり，AEDの使用を妨げる。先行研究では胸骨圧迫の質に悪影響を与えることが示唆された。本研究は着衣が講習受講者のAED使用に与える影響を評価し，市民救助者でも実施可能な適切な除去法を特定することが目的である。

Early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) is critical for the survival of patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Applying an AED requires the removal of clothing from the chest area, yet training programs typically use mannequins without clothing. In real-life situations, however, patients are clothed, which can hinder AED use. Previous studies have suggested that clothing may negatively impact the quality of chest compressions. The aim of this study is to evaluate how clothing affects AED application by training participants and to identify an appropriate method of clothing removal that can be performed by lay rescuers.
