日本語
40歳以上の健常な日本人成人男女を対象に、被験品の12週間の摂取が認知機能に及ぼす影響を検証するとともに、副次的に血中の脳由来神経栄養因子 (brain-derived neurotrophic factor; BDNF) に及ぼす影響を確認する。

To verify the effects of 12 weeks of consumption of the test food on cognitive function in healthy Japanese men and women aged 40 or more, as well as to examine its secondary effects on blood levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).

用法・用量: 朝食前に2粒/日を水またはぬるま湯とともに摂取する。

※飲み忘れた場合は気が付いたときに摂取する。1日の用量はその日のうちに摂取し、翌日以降は持ち越さない。

Administration: Take two capsules per day with water before breakfast.

*If you forget to take the test food, take it as soon as you remember. The daily dose should be taken within the day and not carried over to the next day.

5. スクリーニング検査におけるMini-Mental State Examination日本語版 (MMSE-J) の得点が24点以上の者

6. スクリーニング検査におけるCognitraxの言語記憶力テストの有効性指標が「はい」であり、言語記憶力の標準化スコアが100未満の者

5. Individuals whose score of the Japanese version of the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE-J) is 24 or more at screening

6. Individuals who have a "yes" in the validity indicator of verbal memory test on Cognitrax and the standardized score of verbal memory is less than 100 at screening

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
1. 悪性腫瘍、心不全、心筋梗塞、精神障害 (うつ症状を含む)、脳血管疾患の治療中もしくは既往歴がある者

2. ペースメーカーや植え込み型除細動器を埋め込んでいる者

3. 以下の慢性疾患で治療中の者
不整脈、肝障害、慢性腎臓病、脳血管障害、リウマチ性疾患、糖尿病、脂質異常症、高血圧症、その他の慢性疾患

4. 認知症に罹患している者

5. 夜勤や早朝勤務が含まれる労働形態である者

6. 睡眠時間が不規則と感じている者

7. 怪我、手術等で両手の機能に問題がある者

8. 特定保健用食品、機能性表示食品、その他の機能性が考えられる食品/飲料を摂取している者

9. 医薬品 (漢方薬を含む) ・サプリメントを摂取/使用している者

10. DHA・EPA、イチョウ葉エキス、トコトリエノール、アスタキサンチン、GABA、ホスファチジルセリン、プラズマローゲン等、認知機能に影響する可能性のある食品やサプリメントを摂取している者

11. イワシ、サバ、サンマ等の青魚を週4日以上摂取している者

12. 認知機能に影響する可能性がある器具、機器、アプリ等を使用している者 (例: 脳トレパズル、脳トレゲーム等)

13. アレルギー (医薬品・試験品関連食品) がある者、特に貝類や、エビ、カニ等の甲殻類アレルギーがある者

14. 妊娠中、授乳中、あるいは試験期間中に妊娠する意思のある者

15. 同意取得日以前の28日間において他の臨床試験に参加していた者、あるいは試験期間中に参加予定のある者

16. その他、試験責任医師が本試験の対象として不適切と判断した者

英語
Individuals (who / whose)
1. are undergoing medical treatment or have a medical history of malignant tumor, heart failure, myocardial infarction, psychiatric disorder (including depressive symptoms), or cerebrovascular disease

2. have a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)

3. are currently undergoing treatment for any of the following chronic diseases: cardiac arrhythmia, liver disorder, chronic kidney disease, cerebrovascular disorder, rheumatic disease, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, hypertension, or any other chronic diseases

4. have dementia

5. working pattern includes a late-night shift or early morning work

6. feel that their sleeping time are irregular

7. have a disability of both hands by injuries, surgeries, or other reasons

8. take "Foods for Specified Health Uses," "Foods with Functional Claims," or other functional foods/beverages

9. are taking or using medications (including herbal medicines) or supplements

10. take foods or supplements related to improving cognitive functions, such as docosahexaenoic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, ginkgo leaf extract, tocotrienol, astaxanthin, gamma-aminobutyric acid, phosphatidylserine, or plasmalogen

11. take blue-backed fish such as sardines, mackerel, or saury at least four times a week

12. use devices, equipment, or applications that may affect cognitive functions (e.g., brain training puzzles or brain training games)

13. are allergic to medicines or foods related to the test product, particularly those who are allergic to shellfish or crustaceans such as shrimps and crabs

14. are pregnant, lactating, or planning to become pregnant during this study

15. have been enrolled in other clinical studies within the last 28 days before the agreement to participate in this study or plan to participate in another study during this study

16. are judged as ineligible to participate in this study by the physician
