口腔外科疾患にて顎骨区域切除患者を対象とする。下顎骨は顎骨を分断する場合、上顎は上顎臼歯結節を含む場合とする。

Patients with oral surgical disease who have undergone a jaw area resection are eligible. The mandible is defined as cases in which the jaw bone is divided, and the maxilla is defined as cases in which the maxillary molar tuberosity is included.

口腔外科疾患にて顎骨切除後の呼吸状態の変化が問題になることがある。顎骨切除により接骨上筋群の牽引が減弱し、舌根沈下を起こすことにより、呼吸苦や無呼吸を呈することがある。
今回我々は、顎骨切除後の睡眠の変化について検討する。

Alterations in respiratory status following jaw resection may be problematic in oral surgical disease. The traction of the supratrochanteric musculature is weakened by the jaw osteotomy, resulting in tongue root subsidence, which may lead to respiratory distress and apnea.
In this study, we examine the changes in sleep after maxillectomy.
