本研究は、健康な成人において、クミン（Cuminum cyminum L.）の摂取が筋肉量および筋質（ECW/TBW比、フェーズアングル等）ならびに血中脂質・糖代謝に与える影響を評価し、性差の有無を探索的に検討することを目的とする。

主な結果/Results

日本語
女性では、細胞内外水分比（ECW/TBW）の減少およびフェーズアングルの増加が確認され、筋質の改善を示唆。

男女ともにLDLコレステロールが有意に減少。

男性のみHDLコレステロールの減少が見られた。

血糖値指標には顕著な変化は見られなかった。

これらの結果は、クミン摂取の健康効果が性別によって異なる可能性を示しており、今後の個別化栄養指導やスパイスの活用に新たな知見を得た。

In women, a decrease in the extracellular-to-total body water ratio (ECW/TBW) and an increase in phase angle were observed, suggesting improvements in muscle quality.Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels significantly decreased in both men and women.These findings suggest that the health effects of cumin intake may differ by sex, offering new insights for personalized nutrition guidance and the use of spices in health promotion.
