参加者160名のうち、79めいが介入群に、81名が対照群に割り当てられた。退院1週間後の新生児ケア行動頻度に関する平均スコアは、介入群と対照群のいずれにおいても4.7（SD＝1.3）であった。ITT解析に置いて、多重代入法を用いた単回帰分析を行った結果、退院1週間の新生児ケア行動頻度と介入との間に有意な関連は認めなかった (B = 0.01, 95% CI [-0.42, 0.43], p = .973)。

Of the 160 participants, 79 were assigned to the intervention group and 81 to the control group. The mean score for the frequency of infant care behaviors at one week after discharge was 4.7 (SD = 1.3) in both the intervention and control groups. In the ITT analysis, simple linear regression analysis using multiple imputation showed that the intervention was not significantly associated with the frequency of infant care behaviors one week after discharge.

本研究への参加に同意し、介入群（n = 79）または対照群（n = 81）に無作為に割り付けられた160名の初産婦の夫（初めて父親になる男性）のうち、退院1週間後の2回目の調査票を返送しなかった者は計18名（11.3%）であった。その内訳は、介入群で5名（6.3%）、対照群で13名（16.0%）であった。年齢、退院後1週間の非就労日数、乳児の世話の経験の有無、および父親向け出生前クラスへの参加状況について、群間に有意差は認めなかった。

Of the 160 first-time fathers who were consented to participate in the study, and were randomized to the intervention (n = 79) or the control (n = 81) group. A total of 18 participants (11.3%) did not return the second survey questionnaire one week after discharge, including five (6.3%) in the intervention group and 13 (16.0%) in the control group. No significant between-group differences were observed in age, the number of non-working days during the first week after discharge, prior infant care experience, or attendance at prenatal classes for fathers.
