本研究の目的は、思春期女子生徒とその母親を対象に、がんの予防・早期発見のための啓発教育プログラムを実施し、その効果とプログラムの妥当性を検討することである。

介入内容は、「がんの予防・早期発見に関する情報提供」、「親子でのがん予防に関する話し合い」、「乳房セルフチェックの練習」の3部で構成されている。

The intervention consists of three parts: providing information on cancer prevention and early detection, discussing cancer prevention with parents and children, and practicing breast self-examination.

① 中学生、高校生の思春期女子生徒およびその母親である者
② プログラムに親子で参加できる者
③ 女子生徒および母親のいずれもが過去にがん治療を受けていない者
④ 研究参加について、研究対象者本人と母親から文書による同意が得られる者

(iv) Those who can obtain written consent for participation in the study from the subjects themselves and their mothers.

結果として、介入前後で中高生女子と母親双方のがん警告症状（p=0.001、p=0.019）やリスク因子（p=0.002、p<0.001）の認識を有意に高め、医療機関受診への障壁（p=0.022、p=0.023）の認識を有意に軽減し、中高生女子の予防行動意図の強化や母親の乳房セルフチェックの行動変容へとつながった。

The results demonstrated a significant increase in participants'awareness of cancer warning signs(p=0.001, p=0.019) and risk factors(p=0.002, p<0.001), as well as a reduction in perceived barriers to seeking medical help(p=0.022, p=0.023) before and after the intervention. Additionally, the program strengthened the girls' intentions to adopt preventive behaviors and led to behavioral changes in breast self-examination among their mothers.

参加者背景/Baseline Characteristics

参加者は中高生とその母親20組であった。中高生の年齢は平均15.1歳（SD=1.5）であり、中学生13人（65%）、高校生が7人（35%）であった。また、学校の設置主体は公立が6人（30%）、私立が13人（70%）であった。身近な人のがん体験を有していた者は、家族が10人、親戚が6人、友人・知人がなしであった。さらに、学校でのがん教育を受けていた者は13人（65%）であった。一方、母親の年齢は平均48.5歳（SD=3.9）であり、職業ありが17人（85%）であった。身近な人のがん体験を有していた者は、配偶者が2人、家族が14人、親戚が11人、友人・知人が10人であった。また、過去にがんに関する講演会に参加したことがある者は2人、子どもの学校でのがん教育を把握していた者が3人であった。

Participants were 20 pairs of middle and high school students and their mothers. The average age of the middle and high school students was 15.1 years (SD=1.5); 13 (65%) were middle school students and 7 (35%) were high school students. Six (30%) were public and 13 (70%) were private school establishment. Those who had a cancer experience of someone close to them were 10 family members, 6 relatives, and no friends or acquaintances. Furthermore, 13 (65%) had received cancer education at school. On the other hand, the average age of the mothers was 48.5 years (SD=3.9), and 17 (85%) had an occupation. Those who had a close person's cancer experience included 2 spouses, 14 family members, 11 relatives, and 10 friends/acquaintances. Two had attended lectures on cancer in the past, and three were aware of cancer education at their children's schools.
