新型コロナワクチン、インフルエンザワクチンの有効性(vaccine effectiveness)に関して、以下の3点を評価することを目的としている。

主要アウトカム評価項目/Primary outcomes

日本語
18歳以上の呼吸器感染症を疑う症状を呈し医療機関を受診した患者、60歳以上の呼吸器感染症を疑う症状を呈し入院した患者を対象として、新型コロナワクチン、インフルエンザワクチンの有効性を症例対照研究（一部test negative designを用いる）を用いて算出する。

The effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine will be assessed using a test-negative design case-control study (partially using a case-control study) in individuals 18 years of age or older who visit medical facilities with symptoms of suspected respiratory tract infection and in individuals 60 years of age or older who are hospitalized with symptoms of suspected respiratory tract infection.
