大腸内視鏡検査中の大腸ポリープの検出は、病変の位置、サイズ、形態、組織学的タイプなどの要因に影響されることがある。この研究では、大腸の短軸方向におけるポリープの方向に基づいて、検出の難易度を評価することを目的としている。ポリープの特性が発見率に与える影響を理解することで、検出率の向上につながる可能性がある。

The detection of colorectal polyps during colonoscopy can be influenced by factors such as lesion location, size, morphology, and histological type. This study aimed to evaluate the difficulty of detecting colorectal polyps based on their orientation in the short-axis direction of the colon.

主要アウトカム評価項目/Primary outcomes

結腸の短軸方向をAからHの8つの方向に分け、各ポリープの方向を記録した。ポリープ検出率は、短軸方向や病変のサイズ、位置、肉眼的タイプ、内視鏡医の経験などの臨床病理学的特徴に基づいて比較した。

The short-axis direction of the colon was divided into eight directions (A-H), and the direction of each detected polyp was recorded. Polyp detection rates were compared across the short-axis directions and clinicopathological features, including lesion size, location, macroscopic type, and examiner experience.

研究期間中に新たに検出され内視鏡的に切除された結腸病変で、短軸を評価するための適切な静止画像が利用でき、検査および病変の特徴に関する情報が完全な病変。

Colorectal lesions newly detected and endoscopically resected during the study period, lesions for which adequate still images were available to assess the short axis, and lesions with complete information regarding the examination and lesion characteristics.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
情報が欠損している症例、以前の内視鏡検査でポリープが確認されている症例、出血中の症例、結腸癌手術後の症例、炎症性腸疾患の患者、および病理学的に神経内分泌腫瘍と診断された病変は分析から除外した。

Cases with missing information, cases in which polyps had been identified in prior colonoscopy, cases with active bleeding, post-colorectal cancer surgery cases, patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and those with lesions pathologically diagnosed as neuroendocrine tumors were excluded from the analysis.
