産後・生後1～4か月の母児を対象に縦断的に観察し、哺乳中の児の口腔内への乳房「ふくみ量」と「引き込み量」を推定し、直接母乳（以下、直母）哺乳と哺乳びん哺乳での吸着特徴を比較検討すること

1)現在、直母哺乳と哺乳びん哺乳を併用している児
2)現在、乳歯萌出前かつ離乳食開始前の児
3)現在、特別な医療介入がない母児
4)本試験への参加に同意した母児

1)Infants who are breast-feeding and bottle-feeding.
2)Infants who are before eruption of deciduous tooth and not start baby food.
3)Mothers and infants without special medical intervention.
4)Mothers and infants who agree to join our observation.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
乳幼児発育曲線から逸脱している児と口腔内に異常があると診断されている児は、本観察対象者から除外とする。
状況による選定理由は、身体発達および口腔内の特性は哺乳運動に関連性があると考えるためである。

Infants who were out of the infant development curve and those diagnosed with oral abnormalities were excluded from this observation.
The reason for exclution is that we consider physical development and oral characteristics to be relevant to the sucking behavior.

主な結果/Results

日本語
吸着深度と口角角度は、各月齢（生後1～4か月）と授乳形式（直母哺乳と哺乳びん哺乳）で有意差を認めなかった。下顎角度は、直母哺乳では生後4か月で有意に小さくなったが、哺乳びん哺乳では月齢変化はなかった。なお、吸着深度は「ふくみ量」と「引き込み量」の２つの算出を予定していたが、「ふくみ量」は測定手続き上、口腔内での正確な深度が得られにくく本研究では分析を見送った。

Latch-on depth and mouth angle did not differ significantly among ages nor feeding format. The mandibular angle was significantly smaller at age 4 months in the breast-feeding group; however, it did not change with age in the bottle-feeding group.
Although two calculation methods were planned for the depth of adsorption, only the method was used . Because another method calculated not using ultrasound images was difficult to estimate intraoral the depth of latch-on.

参加者背景/Baseline Characteristics

参加者9組中、観察データ欠損値1組と参加辞退2組（参加途中で直母哺乳のみとなった、感染症による緊急事態宣言発令等の動向）の計3組の母児を除き、生後1～4か月の吸着深度データが得られた6組を分析対象とした。

The 9 pairs of participants, 6 pairs for which data were available from 1 to 4 months of age were included in the analysis, excluding 3 pairs of mothers and infants: 1 pair with missing observation data and 2 pairs who declined participation (e.g., because the bottle feeding was no longer needed; Declined due to COVID-19).
