学校教員は児童青年期の生徒の精神疾患発症や自殺のリスクに最前線で対応する一員として、精神保健リテラシーを有することが望ましい。しかし、そのための取り組みや方法論の検証などは端緒に就いたばかりである。本研究では、学校教員への精神保健教育をヘルスプロモーションの一つとして考え、以下の3種類の知識提供のどれが学校教員の精神疾患への偏見の解消や知識の習得と定着により効果的かを判断するためにクラスターランダム化比較試験で比較検討する。知識提供は①病因論に基づいて疾患の知識やリスクなどを強調する「精神医療的アプローチ」、②健康生成論に基づいて危機状態の発見や不調時の対応などを強調する「心理支援的アプローチ」、③自殺総合対策大綱に基づく自殺予防について検討する「社会支援的アプローチ」とした。本研究によって学校教員に対し効果的な知識普及の方法を検証し、医療と教育の連携のあり方を明確にする。
我々は、2021年より「自殺予防のための学校教員を対象とした精神保健教育の効果に関する研究」として同内容の研究を実施したが、新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大により知識提供を対面講義形式に加えてオンラインを利用した形式を併用せざるを得なかった。講義実施後に学校教員から対面講義形式とオンライン形式ではそれぞれ異なる印象を受けたとの意見が数多く認められた。そのため初回の知識提供を対面講義形式に限定して、新たな研究として計画した。

School teachers should have mental health literacy as members of the front line in responding to the risk of mental illness and suicide among children and adolescents. However, efforts and methodological validation for this purpose have only just begun. In this study, mental health education for school teachers will be considered as one of the health promotion programs, and a cluster randomized controlled trial will be conducted to determine which of the following three types of knowledge provision is more effective in reducing prejudice against mental illness among school teachers and increasing their acquisition and retention of knowledge. The knowledge provision will be 1) a "psychiatric approach," which emphasizes knowledge of illness and risks based on etiology, 2) a "psychological support approach," which emphasizes detection of crisis conditions and response to illness based on health generation theory, and 3) a "social support approach," which examines suicide prevention based on the Comprehensive National Suicide Prevention Strategy. Through this study, we will examine effective ways to disseminate knowledge to school teachers and clarify how medical care and education should work together.
We conducted the same study as "Research on the Effectiveness of Mental Health Education for School Teachers for Suicide Prevention" from 2021, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we had to combine the face-to-face lecture format with an online format for knowledge provision. After the lecture, many school teachers commented that they had different impressions of the face-to-face lecture format and the online format. Therefore, a new study was planned to limit the initial knowledge provision to the face-to-face lecture format.

講義「心理支援編」：現場の学校教員が直面する困難場面をもとに自殺予防のために推奨される行動を強調する内容

Three types of lectures will be given in two years. The intervals between lectures are one year and four to six months for the first two lectures and the second and third lectures, respectively. The interval between lectures is one year for the first two lectures and four to six months for the second and third lectures, respectively. All groups were set up so that they could complete the three types of lectures in two years. Materials on suicide prevention will be distributed 6 months after the social lectures. There will be three types of lectures: Psychiatry,Psychological Support and Social Support.
The order of the lectures will be as follows: 1) Psychiatry, 2) Psychological support, 3) Social support.
