我々は以前の研究で鼻翼部に褥瘡予防で用いるクッションであるサージカルテープを貼付することが、経鼻気管挿管法の発赤・潰瘍予防に非常に有効 であることを明らかした。
しかしながら直接肌に貼り付ける必要があるため、頻度は極めて少なくまた臨床的に問題となることは無いものの、テープを貼ること自体に伴う肌の赤みが発症する事や、
そもそも敏感肌の患者さんには用いることが出来 ないなどの限界もあり改良の余地がある事も判明した。

今回着目した3M レストン粘着フォームパッドは皮 膚にかかる圧力を効果的に分散させる通気性のスポンジである。粘着面を皮膚ではなく医療機器類の表面に貼り付けることを
特徴とするため、この製剤が経鼻気管挿管の褥瘡予防に効果があるのではないかと考えた。
本研究ではレストン粘着フォームパッドを直接気管チューブに貼り付ける褥瘡予防方法が、サージカルテープと同等またはそれ以上の効果があるかどうかを明らかにすることを目的とする。

In a previous study, we demonstrated that surgical tape, a cushion used to prevent bedsores, is very effective in preventing redness and ulceration during nasotracheal intubation. However, since the tape must be applied directly to the skin, it is used very infrequently and does not cause clinical problems, but there are some limitations, such as skin redness associated with the application of the tape itself and the fact that it cannot be used on patients with sensitive skin.

The 3M Reston Adhesive Foam Pad is a breathable sponge that effectively disperses pressure on the skin. Because the adhesive surface is applied to the surface of medical devices rather than to the skin, we hypothesized that this formulation might be effective in preventing pressure ulcers during nasotracheal intubation.


This study was designed to clarify whether the pressure ulcer prevention method of applying the Reston adhesive foam pad directly to the tracheal tube is as effective as or more effective than surgical tape.
