日本語
感染症で病原体を診断する際に、培養期間を1週間以上に延長しない限り検出の難しい病原体がいくつか存在する。このシステマティックレビューでは、どのような病原体を疑った時に培養期間を延長することが望ましいかを知るため、培養期間について検証した過去の研究論文を系統的に調査し、まとめることを目的とする。

When diagnosing infectious diseases, some pathogens are difficult to detect unless the culture incubation period is extended for more than one week. The purpose of this systematic review is to systematically investigate and summarize past research articles that have verified the culture incubation period, in order to know what kind of pathogen it is desirable to extend the culture period when suspected.

感染症で病原体を診断する際に、培養期間を1週間以上に延長しない限り検出の難しい病原体がいくつか存在する。このシステマティックレビューでは、どのような病原体を疑った時に培養期間を延長することが望ましいかを知るため、培養期間について検証した過去の研究論文を系統的に調査し、まとめることを目的とする。感染症を持つ患者を対象とした臨床研究または症例報告のうち、同定された病原体と培養期間の情報が掲載されているものをPubMedおよびWeb of Scienceで系統的に検索し、研究者2名によるtitle & abstract screeningとtext screeningを行って選別する。これらの文献を用いて、培養期間の延長が必要な病原体の情報をまとめる。

When diagnosing infectious diseases, some pathogens that are difficult to detect unless the culture period is extended for more than one week. The purpose of this systematic review is to systematically investigate and summarize past research articles that have verified the culture incubation period, in order to know what kind of pathogen it is desirable to extend the culture period when suspected. A systematic search was conducted in PubMed and Web of Science for clinical studies or case reports involving patients with infectious diseases that included information on the identified pathogen and the culture incubation period. Selection will be made through title & abstract screening and text screening. Using these documents, compile information on pathogens that require extended culture periods.
