The study population consists of the patients diagnosed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in the DeSC Claims Database between April 2014 and August 2022 for this study

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

2次性特発性血小板減少性紫斑病が疑われる患者（脾腫、血液癌、血液系疾患、免疫疾患、抗悪性腫瘍）
特発性血小板減少性紫斑病合併妊娠患者
急性特発性血小板減少性紫斑病患者

・国内の実臨床における治療実態として、CS処方の減少傾向や投与期間の短縮化が見られた一方、長期間CSを処方している患者も一定の割合いることが確認された。
・CS中止後も、繰り返しCSが再投与されている実態が確認された。
・アウトカムのリスクとCS処方の有無との関連は統計学的に有意であった。

･As for the actual treatment situation in actual clinical practice in Japan, while CS prescriptions are decreasing and the duration of CS administration is shortening, it was confirmed that a certain percentage of patients are still prescribed CS for a long period of time.
･It was confirmed that CS was administered repeatedly even after CS was discontinued.
･The association between risk of outcome and CS prescription was statistically significant.

少なくとも1度でもITPの診断を受けた16,161人の被験者のうち、4,144人の患者がこの研究に含まれ、副腎皮質ステロイドは1,276人の患者に投与されていた。
ベースラインでは、年齢の中央値 (四分位範囲) は 78 (68～84) 歳、48.99% (2,030/4,144) が男性、23.77% (985/4,144) が入院患者であった。

Of 16161 subjects with at least one diagnosis of ITP, 4144 patients were included in this study and 1276 patients received corticosteroids. At baseline, the median age was 78 years, 48.99% were male, and 23.77% were inpatients.

本研究はDeSCヘルスケアのレセプトデータを用いたデータベース研究で、2014年4月から2022年8月までのデータ期間中にICD10コード：D693 (特発性血小板減少性紫斑病) の診断が1度でも付いている症例を対象に実施した。

This study was a database study using a claims data from DeSC Healthcare, and was conducted on cases that had been diagnosed with ICD10 code:D693 (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura) at least once during the data period from April 2014 to August 2022.
