選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

1. 健康に関する自己申告書にて健康と判断できる者。
2. 十分な説明を受けた後、十分な理解の上、本人の自由意思による文書同意が得られた者。

1. Subjects who are judged as healthy by self-reported health questionnaire.
2. Subjects who agree to participate in this study with a written informed consent after receiving sufficient explanation relating to this study.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

1. 自己申告書にて、治療が必要となる皮膚疾患に現在罹患していると回答した者。
2. 自己申告書にて、通院治療が必要となる呼吸器疾患、消化器疾患、肝胆膵疾患、血液疾患、腎疾患、内分泌代謝疾患、心血管疾患、精神疾患あるいは精神系疾患の既往もしくは現在罹患していると回答した者。
3. 研究開始前12週間以内に、重篤な外傷や手術歴を有する者。
4. 1日21本以上の過度の喫煙者、1日純アルコール80g以上のアルコールの常用者、アルコールもしくは薬物依存又はその疑いのある者。
5. 試験に影響する可能性のある特別なフェイシャルケア（美顔器、エステティック、ピーリング、レーザー治療など）を実施している者。
6. 妊娠中、妊娠の可能性がある者若しくは授乳中の者。
7. 認知障害がある又はその疑いのある者。
8. 研究開始前12週間以内に、他の臨床試験（治験を含む）に参加し、試験薬の投与を受けた者。
9. その他、実施責任者、主任研究者及び分担研究者（以下、研究担当者）が研究対象者として不適当と判断した者。

1. Subjects who answered in the self-reported health questionnaire that they currently have a skin disease that requires treatment.
2. Subjects who answered in the self-reported health questionnaire that they have had or are currently suffering from respiratory, gastrointestinal,hepatic/gallbladder/pancreatic, hematologic, renal, endocrine, cardiovascular and/or mental disease that requires hospital treatment.
3. Subjects who had a serious injury or surgical history within 12 weeks prior to this study.
4. Heavy smokers (more than 21 cigarettes per day), alcohol addicts (more than 80g per day alcohol), subjects who are alcohol or drug dependence, subjects who are suspected of alcohol or drug dependence.
5. Subjects who are undergoing special facial care (e.g. facial appliances, aesthetic treatments, peels, laser treatments, etc.) which would affect this study.
6. Subjects who are pregnant or lactating, or subjects who expect to be pregnant during this study.
7. Subjects who have cognitive disorder or who have possibility of the disorder.
8. Subjects who participated and took the study drug in other clinical trials within twelve weeks prior to this study.
9. Subjects who are judges as unsuitable for this study by the principal investigator or subinvestigators.

健常成人40名を適格研究対象者として試験を実施し、年齢は39.3±11.1（平均±標準偏差）歳、性別は男性11名（27.5%)、女性29名（72.5%）と女性が多かった。BMIを定義とした肥満者は3名（7.5％）、血液検査で脂質値異常を呈する者は9名（22.5%）、糖尿病型を呈する者はいなかった。

A total of 40 healthy adults were enrolled as eligible participants. The mean age was 39.3 +- 11.1 years. The study population included 11 men (27.5%) and 29 women (72.5%), indicating a predominance of female participants. Based on BMI, three participants (7.5%) were classified as obese. Nine participants (22.5%) showed abnormal lipid profiles in blood tests, while none exhibited glycemic patterns indicative of diabetes.

参加者の流れ/Participant flow

58名の応募があり、除外基準に抵触や日程調整不可等にて計16名を不適格と判断し、最終的に合計42名を研究対象者候補とした。研究説明会を実施し、42名から研究参加の同意を得たが、同意取得後に2名の除外基準（脂質異常症治療中1名、皮膚疾患治療中1名）の抵触が発覚した。当該の2名は除外とし、最終的に40名を適格研究対象者とした。

Fifty-eight individuals applied to participate in the study. Sixteen were excluded due to eligibility criteria or scheduling conflicts, leaving 42 potential participants. After obtaining informed consent from all 42 individuals, two were subsequently excluded upon identification of exclusion criteria: one was undergoing treatment for dyslipidemia, and the other for a skin condition. As a result, 40 participants were included in the final analysis.

主要評価項目の角層水分量と指先皮膚AGEs値とは有意な相関関係はなかった。副次評価項目の経皮水分蒸散量と指先皮膚AGEs値についても有意な相関関係はなかったが、皮膚粘弾性については頬のR6のみ、指先皮膚AGEs値と弱い負の相関があった。各従属変数ごとに、年齢や性別、血液検査、栄養素摂取量等で調整した多変量解析を実施したところ、全ての皮膚測定値とAGEsとの間に有意な関連はなかった。

No significant correlations were found between the primary outcome-stratum corneum hydration-and fingertip skin AGEs levels. Similarly, no significant associations were observed for the secondary outcomes, including TEWL and fingertip AGEs levels. However, a weak negative correlation was found only between cheek R6 (a parameter of skin viscoelasticity) and fingertip AGEs levels. Multivariate analyses adjusting for age, sex, blood test results, and nutrient intake revealed no significant associations between any of the skin measurements and fingertip AGEs levels.
