本研究の目的は，40歳以上の男性（特に高齢男性）を対象に，男性のための新しい居場所であるコミュニティーシェッドが社会的孤立・孤独を予防するものとなりうるか否か，ランダム化比較試験にて検証することである．

日本語
CSは「大人の男の秘密基地」をコンセプトにした、40歳以上の男性を対象とした活動型アクティビティ・プログラムである。主な活動は、木工（コースター作り、家具作り）と園芸（コーヒー豆作り、炭窯作り）。その他、参加者が自主的にやりたいことを考え、CS会議で提案し、仲間を募って活動を実施するケースもある。
介入期間は１年間とし1年毎に評価予定。

CS is an activity-based activity program for men over 40 years old, based on the concept of a "secret base for adult men. The main activities are woodworking (coaster making, furniture making) and gardening (coffee bean making, charcoal kiln making). In other cases, participants think of things they would like to do on their own initiative, make proposals at CS meetings, and recruit others to join them in implementing the activities.
The intervention period will be one year, with annual evaluations planned.

・研究同意取得時の年齢が40歳以上の男性　
・地域に居住している者（施設等に入所していない者）
・実施場所へ自分もしくは公共交通機関を利用し通うことができる者
・本研究（事業）に参加協力の同意が本人から得られている者

Those who live in the community not in an institution
Those who are able to commute to the site by themselves or by public transportation.
Those who can commute to the study site by themselves or by public transportation.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

・明らかな認知機能障害を認めCS活動が実施できない可能性がある者
・CS活動を行う上でコミュニケーションに問題がある者（暴力的行動など）

Those who have obvious cognitive impairment and may not be able to carry out CS activities.
Those who have communication problems in conducting CS activities (Violent behavior, etc.).
