自己記入式質問紙を用いて、精神保健リテラシーを以下のように評価する。
1．精神疾患や関連する自殺リスク等に関する一般的な知識を、本研究向けに作成した質問項目を用いて評価する。主な内容は、精神疾患の生涯有病率や10代における精神疾患や自殺の増加などである。
2.精神疾患や自殺のリスクがある子どもへの教員の対応力ついて、事例を提示し、事例に対する（望ましい対応の選択肢とそうでない）選択肢を設け、評価する。
3．「思春期の子どもの精神疾患や自殺を予防することが教員の役割であると感じているか」や「精神不調や自殺のリスクを抱えた子どもへの対応に自信があるか」について尋ねる。
4. 各アウトカムの測定は介入の直前と直後に行う。

Mental health literacy will be assessed using a self-reported questionnaire as follows.
1. General knowledge about mental illness, increase of mental illness and suicide in teens will be assessed using items developed for this study by the authors.
2. Teachers' ability to respond to children at risk of mental illness and suicide will be evaluated, using case vignettes and options (desirable and undesirable responses to the cases).
3. Whether teachers think that preventing mental illnesses and suicide among children as their role will be assessed. Also, whether they are confident in dealing with children at risk of mental illness or suicide will be evaluated.
4. Each outcome will be assessed at immediately before and after the intervention.

介入群
精神保健リテラシーに関する20分程度の教育プログラムを実施する。プログラムは、ナレーション入りのスライドから成る。プログラムには主に次の内容が含まれる。
（１）精神疾患と自殺は10代で増えること、（２）精神疾患には5人に1人が罹患し、誰もがかかる可能性があること、（３）精神不調を抱えた子どもが自ら大人に助けを求めることは少ないため、大人が不調に気付き、対応する必要があること、（４）子どもの精神不調や自殺のリスクへの対応方法など。

Intervention group
A 20-minute program regarding mental health literacy will be delivered. The program will be taught using slides with narration. Main topics of the program will be as follows: (1) the prevalence of mental illnesses and suicide increases in teens, (2) mental illnesses are common diseases that are experienced by 1 in 5 people, (3) children with mental health problems rarely seek help from adults on their own, so adults need to recognize and respond to children's problems, (4) how to deal with children's mental health problems and the risk of suicide, etc.

・倫理審査時のタイトルは「教員および保護者の精神保健リテラシーに関する研究」であり、今回登録時のタイトルとは異なる（本研究は教員のみを対象とするため）。

・統計解析
全ての解析はintention-to-treatで行う。Yamaguchi et al. (2020) と同様に、連続変数の解析にはlinear mixed modelを、二値変数の解析にはlogistic regression mixed modelを用いる。

Scientific Title of the present registration is different from the title submitted to the research ethics committee ("Mental health literacy for schoolteachers and parents"), since only schoolteachers will be targeted to this study.

Statistical analysis
All analyses will be carried out on an intention-to-treat basis. In accordance with Yamaguchi et al. (2020), mixed-effects models, i.e., linear mixed models and logistic regression mixed models will be used for the analyses of continuous and dichotomous outcome variables.
