The aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between radiation exposure and atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases in the Hiroshima atomic bomb survivors.

1.頸動脈エコー検査による指標を用いて、放射線被曝と動脈硬化との関連性を調査する。
2.Cardio Ankle Vascular Indexを用いて、放射線被曝と動脈スティッフネスとの関連性を調査する。
3.高血圧、糖尿病、腎障害などの心血管疾患の危険因子および心血管死と放射線被曝との関係を調査する。

1.To Investigate the relationship between radiation exposure and atherosclerosis using indices from carotid artery ultrasonography.
2.To investigate the relationship between radiation exposure and arterial stiffness using the Cardio Ankle Vascular Index.
3.To investigate the relationship between radiation exposure and risk factors for cardiovascular disease, such as hypertension, diabetes, and kidney damage, as well as cardiovascular death.
