DPP-4阻害薬の一部は心血管イベントの発生リスクを増加させることが示唆されている。循環器系疾患は腎障害リスクの増加と関連していることが知られており、従って一部のDPP4阻害薬では急性腎障害のリスクが高まる可能性がある。ただし、DPP4阻害薬と腎イベントの関連性はほとんど調査されていない。本研究の目的は無作為化比較試験を対象としたメタ解析により、DPP4阻害薬と急性腎障害リスクの関連性を検討することである。

Some DPP-4 inhibitors have been suggested to increase the risk of developing cardiovascular events. Cardiovascular disease is known to be associated with an increased risk of kidney injury, and therefore some DPP4 inhibitors may increase the risk of acute kidney injury. However, the association between DPP4 inhibitors and kidney events has not been evaluated. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between DPP4 inhibitors and the risk of acute kidney injury by meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
