本研究では歯肉扁平上皮癌において初回治療前に腫瘍部位への歯科手術の既往の有無と治療経過および予後との関連を明らかにする。

This study aims to determine the association between the presence or absence of previous dental surgery to the tumour site prior to initial treatment and treatment course and prognosis in gingival squamous cell carcinoma.

今回の研究結果により、歯科手術による侵襲がどの程度治療経過（局所頸部および遠隔転移発症の有無）および予後に影響を与えるか明らかになれば、より適切な術後補助療法を選択することが可能となり、今後の口腔外科診療へ貢献できると考える。

If the results of this study can clarify the extent to which dental surgical invasion affects the course of treatment (local neck and distant metastases) and prognosis, it will enable more appropriate adjuvant treatment to be selected and contribute to future oral surgery practice.

2008年4月1日から2021年3月31日に長崎大学病院　口腔外科で歯肉扁平上皮癌に対しNCCNガイドラインに則った初回治療を受けた症例。

Patients who received initial treatment for gingival squamous cell carcinoma according to NCCN guidelines in the Department of Oral Surgery, Nagasaki University Hospital between 1 April 2008 and 31 March 2021.
