選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

①過去にPD+HD治療を１か月以上実施しその後HD単独治療に変更した症例
②透析液
・透析開始時からブドウ糖中性液のみを使用
・イコデキストリン透析液併用使用は可能
③PD+HD治療方法
・PDは週5または6日、HDは週1回に限る
・CAPD, APD, CCPDいずれでも可能

1) Patients who were treated with PD+HD for more than 1 month in the past and then changed to HD alone.
2) Dialysis solution
Patients must use only glucose-neutral dialysate from the start of dialysis.
Use of icodextrin dialysate is allowed.
3) PD+HD treatment method
PD is limited to 5 or 6 days a week, and HD is limited to once a week.
CAPD, APD, CCPD are all acceptable.

③長時間（6時間以上）HDを併用

The Proactive combination (Px) group had the longer mean duration of combination therapy (3.18 years) comparing to that of combination therapy following peritoneal dialysis (1.45 years), but total peritoneal dialysis duration was shorter than in control groups (4.02 years). Of the 160 cases in the entire cohort, there were 8 deaths, 18 ischemic heart disease hospitalizations, and 18 stroke hospitalizations.
