本研究では、従来の主観的評価方法に加え、新たな客観的評価法を用いて口唇裂・口蓋裂患者の口腔感覚と言語機能特性を明らかにする。さらに、口唇裂・口蓋裂患者の口腔感覚と言語機能の相関性について解明することを目的とする。

In addition to the traditional subjective assessment methods, this study focuses on new objective assessment methods for determining the oral sensation and speech characteristics of patients with cleft lip and palate. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to clarify the correlation between oral sensation and speech characteristics of the patients with cleft lip and palate.

出生時に片側性もしくは両側性唇顎口蓋裂があり、口唇形成術並びに口蓋形成術を受けた者
「MRI検査参加直前チェックシート」の回答結果から参加に支障がないと判断された者
「利き手チェックシート」の回答結果から右利きと判断された者

A person who was born with cleft lip and palate, and has gone through cheiloplasty and palatoplasty
Through the assessment of MRI check sheet, a person whose result shows no risk of harm to attend the experiment
A right-handed person got through the assessment of dominant hand check seat

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

口腔粘膜疾患を有する者
著しい嘔吐反射を有する者
神経系疾患がある者
矯正歯科治療中もしくは、必要な矯正歯科治療が完了していない者

　本研究では、従来の主観的評価方法（SWテストによる触覚評価、テーストディスクを用いた味覚評価）や言語聴覚士による言語評価に加え、ナゾメーターによる鼻音化率測定、MEG (Magnetoencephalography)を用いた口唇・口蓋電気刺激時の体性感覚誘導磁界測定 (SEFs :Somatosensory evoked magnetic fields)測定、口腔・咽頭領域の気流を可視化する気流シミュレーターの客観的評価法を用いて口唇裂・口蓋裂患者の口腔感覚と言語機能特性を明らかにする。さらに、口唇裂・口蓋裂患者の口腔感覚と言語機能の相関性について解明する。

In addition to the traditional subjective assessment methods (the oral tactile thresholds and the gustatory thresholds) and the evaluation of speech characteristics by a speech therapist, this study focuses on new objective assessment methods (measurement of nasalization rate using a Nasometer, measurement of somatosensory evoked magnetic fields (SEFs) during electrical stimulation of the lips and palate using Magnetoencephalography (MEG), and airflow visualization in the oral and pharyngeal regions using the simulators) for determining the oral sensation and speech characteristics of patients with cleft lip and palate.
