アルデヒド脱水素酵素遺伝子（ALDH2）のrs671多型を告知することによって、生活習慣の行動変容を促すことができるかどうかを検証する。これによりALDH2 rs671多型判定の有用性を示し、普及・実装化に向けたエビデンスとする。

To test whether notification of the rs671 polymorphism of the aldehyde dehydrogenase gene (ALDH2) can promote behavioral changes in lifestyle habits. This will demonstrate the usefulness of ALDH2 rs671 polymorphism determination and provide evidence for dissemination and implementation of the testing.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

（1）　重篤な肉体的・精神的疾患で治療を受けていない者
（2）　うつ症状または精神的な疾患のため、睡眠の治療を受けている者
（3）　既に予定があり、実施期間のすべての調査に参加できない者
（4）　その他、事業所の産業医が被験者として不適当と判断した者
（5）　研究対象者から中止の申し出があった者（同意撤回書提出者）

(1) Those who are not receiving treatment for a serious physical or mental illness
(2) Those who are receiving sleep treatment for depression or mental illness.
(3) Those who are unable to participate in the entire survey due to their existing commitments.
(4) Other subjects deemed inappropriate by the industrial physician at their workplace.
(5) Those who have requested discontinuation of the study (those who have submitted a consent withdrawal form).

機会飲酒量に対するrs671遺伝子型告知介入の影響は、変異型群で負の傾向であった（p = 0.157）。告知群における1年目ならびに2年目の機会飲酒量（性年齢調整幾何平均値）は、野生型群で3.4から3.9ドリンクへ、変異型群で2.1から1.9ドリンクへ変化した。同様に、非告知群では、野生型群で2.6から1.7ドリンクへ、変異型群で3.5から3.2ドリンクへ変化した。(2025年第95回 日本衛生学会学術総会発表)

A genotype-disclosure intervention for rs671 showed a non-significant decreasing trend in occasional alcohol consumption in the variant group (p = 0.157). In the disclosure arm, sex- and age-adjusted geometric means changed from 3.4 to 3.9 drinks (wild type) and from 2.1 to 1.9 drinks (variant). In the non-disclosure arm, wild type changed from 2.6 to 1.7 drinks and variant from 3.5 to 3.2 drinks. Presented at the 95th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Public Health (2025).

先行研究と同様の結果が得られたが、有意差は認められなかった。考えられる要因として、対象施設が健診機関でありベースライン時点から好ましい生活習慣を心掛けている参加者が多かったこと、職種が限定されていたこと、さらにサンプル数が少なかったことが挙げられる。その後も参加者の募集および調査を継続しているため、最終結果の確定・公表は遅れる見込みである。

Results were similar to previous studies and no significant differences were observed. This may be attributable to the study being conducted at health screening facilities with many participants having favorable baseline lifestyle habits, occupational homogeneity, and an insufficient sample size. Participant recruitment and data collection are ongoing, so publication of the final results is expected to be delayed.

We investigated the effect of awareness of the rs671 polymorphism on lifestyle behaviors and health-related perceptions by leveraging health-check opportunities in medical facilities, workplaces, and communities. The study was conducted at a health screening center in Saga Prefecture from 2023 to 2024 and enrolled 107 participants. The protocol was approved by the Saga University Ethics Committee (R4-30, R5-15).
