我々は、心臓の活動電位は動脈を介して脳へ波及していると仮説を立てた。本研究では頭蓋内の内頚動脈で直接電流の計測を試みる。

We hypothesized that cardiac action potentials propagate to the brain via arteries. In this study, we will try to measure the current directly in the internal carotid artery in the skull.

開頭手術で内頚動脈を露出させる手術を予定している患者を対象とする。執刀医は手術において内頚動脈が露出された際に、深部電極に用いる電極を内頚動脈に当てて電流を測定する。測定は3回実施し、内頚動脈において電流到達及び電圧を記録する。内頚動脈以外にも中大脳動脈や前大脳動脈が露出されていた場合は、そこを流れる電流と電圧の測定も同様の手技で行う。

The subjects are patients who are scheduled to have surgery to expose the internal carotid artery by craniotomy. When the internal carotid artery is exposed during surgery, the surgeon applies the electrode used for the deep electrode to the internal carotid artery to measure the current. Measurements are taken three times and recorded. If the middle cerebral artery or anterior cerebral artery is exposed in addition to the internal carotid artery, the same procedure is used to measure the current and voltage flowing there.

２．開頭手術で内頚動脈を露出させる手術を行う患者
３．ご本人が書面で同意できる患者
