目的1/Narrative objectives1

日本語
集中治療後症候群（postintensive care syndrome; PICS）発症によって、患者本人や家族に多大な影響を与え、医療経済上も大きな負担になることが報告されているが、本邦において大規模疫学調査は行われておらず、PICS研究を推進するためにも基盤データの構築が求められている。本研究の目的は、本邦における集中治療室に入室する重症患者の長期予後と生活の質を明らかにすることと重症患者の家族における精神障害の有無を明らかにすることである。尚、本研究で構築するデータベースは、日本集中治療医学PICS対策・生活の質改善検討委員会の委員会活動として行われる日本版PICSデータベース（JPICS）のことを指す。

It has been reported that the onset of postintensive care syndrome (PICS) has a significant impact on patients and their families, as well as a significant burden on the medical economy. However, no large-scale epidemiological survey has been conducted in Japan, and there is a need to establish basic data to promote PICS research. The purpose of this study is to clarify the long-term prognosis and quality of life of critically ill patients admitted to intensive care units in Japan, and to determine the presence or absence of mental disorders in the families of critically ill patients. The database to be constructed in this study is the Japanese version of the PICS database (JPICS), which will be conducted as a committee activity of the Japanese Intensive Care Medicine PICS Measures and Quality of Life Improvement Study Committee.
