日本語
緑内障患者血漿を対象としたメタボロミクス解析を行い、東北メディカル・メガバンク機構のコホート研究で得られたデータを対照としたケースコントロール研究を行うことで、緑内障患者のスクリーニングや層別化に有用なバイオマーカーを探索する。また同定された代謝物と、眼圧や視野などの表現型との関係、ゲノム研究で緑内障との関連が示された遺伝子多型との関係について解析する。

Metabolomics analysis will be performed on plasma from glaucoma patients, and a case-control study will be conducted using data from the Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization cohort study as a control to search for biomarkers useful for screening and stratification of glaucoma patients. We will also analyze the relationship between identified metabolites and phenotypes such as intraocular pressure and visual field, and genetic polymorphisms that have been shown to be associated with glaucoma in previous genomic studies.

ケース：東北大学病院で詳細な眼科検査を受けて原発開放隅角緑内障と診断されたもの。
コントロール：東北メディカル・メガバンク機構コホートにおいて、緑内障の罹患歴がなく、かつ眼底検査で視神経乳頭陥凹拡大が認められない者。

Cases: Those diagnosed with primary open-angle glaucoma after a detailed ophthalmologic examination at Tohoku University Hospital.
Control: In the Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization cohort, subjects with no history of glaucoma and no optic nerve cupping on fundus examination.
