主な結果/Results

顕在的態度でクロスモーダル現象は確認されず、dスコアとの相関関係が認められなかった。また、丸パッケージと四角パッケージで WTP の有意な差は認められなかった。潜在的態度の評価では、被験者が共通して丸＝甘味、四角＝酸味という直感的な関連付けをしていることが明らかになった。

本実験は、ヘルシンキ宣言（World Medical Association）および、人を対象とする医学系研究に関する倫理指針（文部科学省・厚生労働省・経済産業省）を遵守して行った。
被験者は新潟医療福祉大学の健康栄養学科1―4年生に募集をかけ同意が得られた健康な女子27名とした。被験者には、事前に研究の目的、方法、結果の用途、利益及び不利益、個人情報の保護、研究協力の任意性と撤回の自由について書面及び口頭で説明し、書面で同意を得た。
　なお、本研究では本来の目的を被験者に伏せることが必要だった為、カバーストーリーを用いて、商品開発の協力と嗜好調査として依頼した。

This experiment was conducted in compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki (World Medical Association) and the Ethical Guidelines for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects (MEXT, MHLW, METI) .
Subjects were 27 healthy female students in the first through fourth grades of the Department of Health and Nutrition at Niigata University of Health and Welfare who consented to participate in the study. Subjects were informed in writing and orally about the purpose, methods, uses of results, benefits and disadvantages, protection of personal information, and voluntary nature of research cooperation and freedom of withdrawal, and their written consent was obtained in advance.
　Since it was necessary to conceal the original purpose of this study from the subjects, a cover story was used to request their cooperation in product development and as a survey of their preferences.

参加者の流れ/Participant flow

被験者には2時間の絶食状態で来室するよう依頼した。初めに被験者に質問紙を用いて空腹感、体調などの基礎調査を回答させた。

レモンジュレ60 gを丸いパッケージまたは四角いパッケージで提供し、嗜好調査を行った。100 mmの VAS 法にて甘味、酸味、好ましさ、また食べたいかを回答させた。その後、このジュレが120 gでスーパーにて売られていると仮定し、本体価格はいくらまでなら払えるか回答させた。ここまでの流れを別パッケージでも繰り返した。尚、どちらのパッケージを先に提供するかはランダムとした。


本研究の刺激の数や試行回数は Fiszman et al. の研究に準じた。被験者には画面の中央を注視し続け、標的の刺激にできるだけ迅速かつ正確に反応するように指示した。試行の各ブロックでは、2つの刺激（どちらか1つの画像及び1つの単語）を左または右の応答キーに割り当て、残りの2つの刺激はもう一方の応答キーに割り当てた。 被験者は、コンピューターのキーボードの2つ（E または I ）のキーのうちの1つを押して応答しました。視覚刺激は20秒間、または応答が記録されるまで表示した。各試行の終了時に、被験者の応答が間違っている場合「×」というフィードバックが与えられるよう設定した。応答が誤っていた場合は、即時に正しいキーを押すよう事前に説明した。1つの画像や単語につき5回の繰り返しが起き 、全体で80試行を経てdスコアを求めた。それとは別にはじめに、被験者が IAT の流れを覚えるために繰り返し1回の20試行を直前に行った。

基礎調査の回答後、IAT と VAS 法のうち、どれからを先に実施するかは偏りを防ぐためランダム化した。これらの実験手順は間隔を空けることなく同日に行われた。

Subjects were asked to come to the room in a fasting state for 2 hours. Initially, subjects were asked to answer a basic survey about their hunger and physical condition using a questionnaire.

A preference survey was conducted by offering 60 g of lemon jelly in a round or square package, and subjects were asked to respond to the sweetness, acidity, liking, and whether they would like to eat it again using the 100 mm VAS method. The participants were then asked to indicate how much they would be willing to pay for a 120 g package of the jellies, assuming that they were sold in supermarkets. This process was repeated with a different package. The choice of which package was offered first was random.

The number of stimuli and the number of trials in this study followed the study by Fiszman et al. Subjects were instructed to keep their eyes on the center of the screen and to respond to the target stimulus as quickly and accurately as possible. In each block of trials, two stimuli (either one image and one word) were assigned to the left or right response key, and the other two stimuli were assigned to the other response key. Subjects responded by pressing one of two (E or I ) keys on the computer keyboard. Visual stimuli were displayed for 20 seconds or until a response was recorded. At the end of each trial, the system was set up to give feedback "X" if the subject's response was incorrect. If the response was incorrect, the subject was told in advance to press the correct key immediately. 5 repetitions occurred per image or word, for a total of 80 trials to obtain a d-score. In addition, 20 trials of one repetition were performed immediately before the beginning to help subjects memorize the flow of the IAT.

After answering the basic survey, which of the IAT and VAS methods was administered first was randomized to prevent bias. These experimental procedures were performed on the same day without any interval.

有害事象/Adverse events

研究の説明および同意を得る際は自由意志を尊重する。IATでは、連続的かつ単調な動作を行うため、精神的・肉体的負担を感じる恐れがある。また食事をさせるためCOVID-19の感染リスクがある。拘束時間は約20分である。

Free will is respected when explaining the study and obtaining consent; IAT involves continuous and monotonous movements, which may cause mental and physical strain. There is also a risk of COVID-19 infection due to the feeding. The duration of the restraint is approximately 20 minutes.
