舌苔除去器具の選択方法や擦過圧力、擦過回数と潜血反応の関連について検討し、安全に舌粘膜に対する口腔ケアを行うための標準的ケア指針を作成することを目的とする。

主な結果/Results
日本語
予備研究として健康成人で舌粘膜の清掃方法を検討した。歯ブラシで3回擦過群では、11症例中2症例(18.2％)に微小出血がみられた。歯ブラシで10回擦過群では、7症例中全例で微小出血がみられた。一方、舌ブラシで10回擦過群のおよび30回擦過群では、全例で微小出血がなかった。健康成人を対象に調査したにもかかわらず、歯ブラシでの擦過で出血がみられたため、口腔粘膜が脆弱な要介護高齢者に対して舌粘膜ケアを行うときに、歯ブラシの使用は好ましくないことが示唆された。

As a pilot study, we examined the method of tongue care in healthy adults. In the group that was rubbed 3 times with a toothbrush, microbleeding was observed in 2 of the total 11 cases. In the group that was rubbed 10 times with a toothbrush, microbleeding was observed in all 7 cases. In the group rubbed 10 times with the tongue brush (n=4) and in the group rubbed 30 times with the tongue brush (n=3), no microbleeding was observed in all cases.
