選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

次の1)-4)いずれかの基準かつ5)6)の条件を満たす当院受診の患者を本研究の対象とする。
1）50歳代の難聴のない健常者
2）50歳代の突発性難聴（片側高度）の患者
3）80歳以上で両側高度・重度難聴の患者
4）80歳以上で両側高度・重度難聴がない患者
5）午前中禁食可能かつ午前中に受診できる患者
6）研究参加に関する同意が得られた者

(1) Healthy person without hearing loss in 50s
(2) Patients in 50s with sudden hearing loss (unilateral severe)
3) Patients in 80 years of age and older with bilateral severe or profound hearing loss
4) Patients in 80 years of age and older with no bilateral severe or profound hearing loss
5) Patients who can abstain from food in the morning and can visit the clinic in the morning.
(6) Patients who give consent to participate in the study.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

1）外傷や別疾患の合併症による難聴等、加齢と関係ない要因で難聴を来している場合
2）ニコチンアミドモノヌクレオチド(NMN)を服用している者

(1) Patients with hearing loss due to factors unrelated to aging, such as trauma or hearing loss due to complications from other diseases
(2) Patients taking nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN)

日本の川越耳鼻咽喉科研究所における単一施設の観察研究
サンプルサイズは 80 名です。各 20 名の 4 つのグループに分かれています。片側突発性難聴 (SSNHL) の有無にかかわらず 50 ～ 79 歳の患者と、両側加齢性難聴 (ARHL) の有無にかかわらず 80 歳以上の患者です。
全血 NAD+ レベルの分布を調査しました。また、酸化ストレス マーカー (ジアクロニック反応性酸素代謝物 [dROM] と生物学的抗酸化能 [BAP]) を測定し、SNHL の発症と全血 NAD+ レベル、dROM、BAP の関係を調べました。

A single-center, observational study at Kawagoe Otology Institute in Japan
The sample size is 80 patients. In 4 groups of 20 patients each: patients aged 50-79 years with or without unilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL), and patients aged over 80 years with or without bilateral age-related hearing loss (ARHL).
The distribution of whole-blood NAD+ levels was investigated. We also measured oxidative stress markers (diacron-reactive oxygen metabolites [dROMs] and biological antioxidant potential [BAP]) and examined the relationship between the development of SNHL and whole blood NAD+ levels, dROMs, and BAP.

主要評価項目は、50～79歳の難聴のない人と50～79歳のSSNHL（片側、重度）の人との全血NAD+レベルの差、および80歳以上の両側難聴のない人と80歳以上の両側SNHLの人との全血NAD+レベルの差であった。さらに、難聴の発症に関連する因子と臨床検査値の相関関係を分析した。

The primary endpoints were the difference in whole-blood NAD+ levels between those aged 50-79 years without hearing loss and those aged 50-79 years with SSNHL (unilateral, severe), and the difference in whole-blood NAD+ levels between those aged over 80 years without bilateral hearing loss and those aged over 80 years with bilateral SNHL. In addition, correlations among factors associated with the development of hearing loss and laboratory test values were analyzed.
