除外基準/Key exclusion criteria	ARDSや重症肺炎に準じた量のステロイドを使用していなかった症例	Cases in which corticosteroids were not used in doses consistent with ARDS or severe pneumonia

主な結果/Results	2020年2月から4月にかけて、110名の患者さんがCOVID-19と診断されました。ステロイド群に入院中の状態が悪いにもかかわらず、スケールを用いて測定した両群の臨床経過に統計的な差はありませんでした。また、解熱までの日数やポリメラーゼ連鎖反応陰性までの日数にも、両群間に統計的な差は見られませんでした。	Between February and April 2020, 110 patients were diagnosed with COVID-19. Despite poor conditions during admission into the steroid group, there were no statistical differences in clinical course between both groups, as measured using the scale. There were no statistical differences between the two groups in the number of days to fever resolution or negative polymerase chain reaction results.

参加者背景/Baseline Characteristics	2020年2月から4月にかけてCOVID-19と診断された110名の患者を確認した。患者特性の違いを表 2 に示す。入院時の患者の特徴には、いくつかの違いがあった。年齢の中央値（範囲）は、ステロイド群で67（54-71）歳、非ステロイド群で46（33-56）歳であり、ステロイド群で患者の年齢が有意に高かった（p＜0.001）。高血圧もステロイド群で多かった（p < 0.001）。性別、心血管疾患、糖尿病、悪性腫瘍、自己免疫疾患、肥満度、喫煙歴、免疫抑制剤の使用などに明らかな差はなかった。	We identified 110 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 between February and April 2020. The differences in patient characteristics are shown in Table 2. There were some differences in the characteristics of the patients at the time of admission. The median (range) age was 67 y in the steroid group and 46 y in the non-steroid group, with patients being significantly older in the steroid group. Hypertension was also more common in the steroid group. There were no apparent differences in sex, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, malignancy, autoimmune disease, body mass index, smoking history, or use of immunosuppressive drugs.
