飽和脂肪酸を主体とした高脂肪試験食（CPF比 22:11:67）を摂取してから、2時間に渡って呼気中の酸素と二酸化炭素濃度を測定し、エネルギー消費量の変化から食事誘導熱産生量を算出する。

Diet-induced thermogenesis (DIT) is estimated by measuring whole-body energy expenditure with the use of a respiratory gas analyzer for 2 hours after ingestion of a saturated fatty acid-rich high fat SFA-F-meal (CPF energy ratio, 22:11:67)

主な結果/Results

日本語
全被験者のDITは、C食 3.5±2.0％、P食6.4±2.0 ％、 SF-F食2.3±0.9％、PUFA-F食2.6±0.9％であり、既報と同様にＰ食が高値であった。しかし、C食、SF-F食、PUFA-F食の間に有意差が認められなかった。C食でのDITは褐色脂肪活性と正に相関し、低活性者では2.1±1.8％であるのに対して高活性者では4.4±1.7％と有意に高値となった。しかし、P食、SFA-F食、PUFA-F食、いずれのDITも褐色脂肪活性との有意な相関・差異は認められなかった。

DIT was 6.4 % after the P-meal, 3.5 % after the C-meal, 2.3 % after the SFA-F-meal, and 2.6 % after the PUFA-F-meal. DIT after the C-meal correlated positively with BAT activity (P=0.011). In contrast, DIT after the P-meal and F-meals showed no correlation with BAT activity. Moreover, no significant difference was found in DIT between the SFA- and PUFA-F-meals.
