大動脈弁二尖弁患者の上行大動脈の手術適応は45㎜以上とガイドライン上でなっているが、本当に45mmがカットオフラインなのか検討する。
さらに上行大動脈置換術を施行した手術未介入の二尖弁がどのような変化をもたらすかを検討した。

The guidelines state that the indication for surgery of the ascending aorta in patients with the bicuspid aortic valve is 45 mm or more, but we will examine whether 45 mm is really the cutoff line.
In addition, we examined how unoperated bicuspid valves that have undergone ascending aortic replacement produce changes.

二尖弁患者は上行大動脈拡大をしやすいといわれ、その手術の際に拡大した上行大動脈を同時に手術することは検討される。しかしガイドライン上の45㎜は海外での臨床データを基にしており、日本人独自のデータから求められた数値ではない。今回過去10年以上の追跡データをもとに二尖弁患者の適切な上行大動脈置換径のを求める。

Bicuspid valve patients are prone to ascending aortic enlargement, and the ascending aorta is operated on at the same time. However, the 45mm guideline is based on clinical data from overseas and is not based on Japanese original data. In the present study, we used 10 years of follow-up data of bicuspid valve patients after aortic valve replacement to determine the appropriate diameter of ascending aortic replacement in bicuspid valve patients.
