チョコレートやココアに含まれる、ポリフェノールの一種であるフラバノールの健康効果が近年注目を集めている。本研究では、ココアフラバノール摂取に伴う認知機能の向上を脳機能計測により検証することを目的とする。

In recent years, the effects of flavanol, a kind of polyphenol, contained in chocolate and cocoa on health have been reported. The purpose of this study is to verify the improvement of cognitive function with cocoa flavanol intake by measuring brain function.

主な結果/Results

日本語
ココアフラバノールを含んだ飲料を摂取した条件では、コントロール飲料を摂取した条件と比べて、減算課題中の背外側前頭前野における脳血流信号が増加することが示された。ただし、行動データ（正答率および反応時間）では有意差を確認できず、課題デザインの見直しおよび被験者数を増やした再実験が必要であると考えられた。
