目的/Objectives
目的1/Narrative objectives1	早期の白血球に伴う炎症は、さまざまな心血管疾患に関連していることが知られている。 我々は以前単球数が多いことは、冠動脈疾患患者の心血管イベントと関連していることを報告した。 さらに以前の研究では、炎症が心不全の病態生理に重要な役割を果たすことも報告されている。 心不全患者における単球の予後の役割を評価し、HFのカテゴリー間でそれらを比較した研究はほとんどない。 心不全患者における単球の予後的価値を解明するため、HF患者の単球数と将来の心血管イベントとの関連を調査し、HFrEFとHFpEFを比較した。	Inflammation, characterized by early leukocyte recruitment, is known to be associated with various cardiovascular diseases. We previously reported that a high monocyte count was an independent and incremental of cardiovascular events in patients with coronary artery disease. Furthermore, previous study also reported that inflammation play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of heart failure (HF). Few studies have evaluated the prognostic role of monocyte in patients with HF, and have compared them among categories of HF. To elucidate the prognostic value of monocyte in HF, we investigated the association of monocyte counts in patients with HF with their future cardiovascular events, and compared them between in HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and HF with preserved EF (HFpEF)

評価/Assessment
主要アウトカム評価項目/Primary outcomes	2006年から2015年に熊本大学病院に入院した心不全患者を対象とした。 最終的に678人の心不全患者が登録され、HFrEFとHFpEFに分類した。2016年まで、または心不全関連イベントが発生するまで、フォローした。	Consecutive HF patients referred for hospitalization at Kumamoto University Hospital between 2006 and 2015 were registered. Finally, a total of 678 HF patients were enrolled in the study, and We further divided HF patients into two types according to HFrEF and HFpEF. We were followed prospectively until 2016 or until the occurrence of HF related events.

選択基準/Key inclusion criteria	2006年から2015年の間に熊本大学病院に入院した心不全患者を対象とする。	Consecutive HF patients referred for hospitalization at Kumamoto University Hospital between 2006 and 2015 were registered.
除外基準/Key exclusion criteria	重度の弁膜症、活動性感染症、悪性腫瘍の既往、および末期腎不全（推定糸球体濾過率（eGFR）<15 ml / min /1.73m）は除外した。	Patients were excluded for the following reasons: severe valvular disease, active infective diseases, history of malignancy, and end stage of renal disease (estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 15 ml/min/1.73m).
